“The Netherlands Under Reconstruction” is a documentary series that, across multiple episodes, shows how farmers, fishermen and citizens are affected by far-reaching changes in our landscape and daily lives. Through personal stories, we reveal how national policies put people under pressure – but also how some find new paths and take matters back into their own hands.

Episode I: The Windmill Story (2025)
Opinions are divided on wind turbines. Do they really contribute to a sustainable future? There are more and more wind turbines being built in our country; they are getting taller and are placed closer to residential areas. Many people are affected by them, experiencing health problems when living near a wind turbine. What are the effects of the turbines on people, the environment and animals? In this episode, we give the floor to both those impacted and to experts. We want to show both sides of the story. The episode is still in pre-production, with more information to follow later.

The Netherlands Under Reconstruction offers a view of the changes we are seeing in the country. In recent years, it has become clear how vulnerable our freedom and democracy are. The influence of the EU, large corporations and new digital systems is growing, while critical voices are often absent. This film shows how power and control increasingly shape our daily lives — but also how citizens themselves can rise up, ask questions and defend their rights. The aim is not fear, but awareness and hope. An accessible call to everyone to help shape the future of the Netherlands together.
